We have been learning about Chinese New Year at pre-school this week. It is the Year of the Rooster. We made Chinese dragons and fans.
Our role play area was a Chinese restaurant so we enjoyed choosing off the menus and ordering tasty food! In our sensory tray we had noodles and we used chopsticks to pick up small objects such as cotton reels and compare bears.

In ‘Big Fun Time’ we used the parachute and giant dragon head and instruments to perform a Chinese dragon dance after watching a clip of the New Year parade.
